Headley Park Weekend February 2010

In contrast to last year the weekend was very dark and rainy. There was no chance of playing frisby or going for country walks. Not even our spirited performance of the Helios overture could persuade the sun to appear. None the less there were some wonderful things to play: the Overture to La Forza del Destino, a wind arrangement of Die Fledermaus, Peer Gynt, Schubert's sixth and the highlight of the weekend was a fantastic performance of Sibelius' Violin Concerto from Mihkel.
